Sports at Livingstone
Premier sports are the sports that have been identified as having the best possible opportunities for inter-school competitions and involve intense training and commitment. Livingstone's current premier sports include AFL and Netball. The training for these competitive sports is held outside of school hours and our teams compete in various competitions throughout the year.
At Livingstone, we operate a house system, where students compete in four houses during sport carnival days, lunchtime activities and other competitions. At the end of each school year, a winning house is awarded for earning the highest total of points across the year.
Prior to 2021, students competed in 4 houses; Moffat, Carey, Taylor and Judson - named after missionaries William Carey, Adoniram Judson, Robert Moffat and Hudson Taylor respectively.
2021 marked the start of a new era for house competitions at Livingstone Christian College with the introduction of four new houses, named after books of the New Testament in the Bible; Corinthians, Ephesians, Galatians and Romans.
The College holds three house carnivals during the year; swimming, cross country and athletics. Students who achieve success at these carnivals go onto district level competition.
